Can’t Sew? – If this is you, then you need Kim Tomes. She is able to offer a no-contact service including collection and delivery within RG10 for any sewing jobs that you’d like completed for clothing or curtains. Now is the time to go through your wardrobes and see what needs tweaking, and to finally get those curtains hanging properly at the right length. Hare Hatch Sheeplands – The Farm Shop offers a wide range of groceries and fresh fruit and vegetables as well as traditional butchers Millard & Lowe and frozen meals from Cook. The shop is open to visitors on a restricted timetable with priority slots for single parents, the elderly and key workers. For more details and latest news see the Facebook page. Haweli – Indian restaurant taking home delivery orders during opening hours: Monday-Thursday noon to 14:30 and 17:00 to 22:30, Fri-Sat noon to 14:30 and 16:30 to 23:00, Sunday noon to 22:30.
Home Pantry – Usually The Office Pantry supplying businesses, they are temporarily switching their focus to delivering a range of foods and drinks to homes.
Lockey Farm Shop – Located near Arborfield, the farm shop is now offering home delivery within a 7 mile radius to the elderly, vulnerable and those self-isolating. This area includes part of RG10, ie Hurst, Twyford and Charvil. They can supply most meat, bread, milk, fruit and vegetables and also limited eggs and store cupboard goods. Louis’ Home Cooking – Covering Hurst and surrounding areas from 6 April, oven-ready family meals for delivery direct to your home on a first-come, first-served basis. Each week there is a different dish, for example week 1 had macaroni bolognese made with free-range local pork, fennel and sage. Prices are £8 for two, £13 for four, £20 for 6-8. Nyama Catering – This local catering company specialising in BBQ events is using its access to local suppliers of fresh produce to offer a delivery service to selected postcodes around the Reading area. Boxes are available of different sizes for fruit, veg, meat and dairy, with a minimum spend of £35 plus £3 delivery. For more details and to place an order see here.

Wellocks at Home – A supplier to The Shurlock Inn, this company has joined forces with its restaurant customers in order to deliver food boxes into their local communities, with the restaurants earning from each box sold. Boxes available include fruit and vegetables, cupboard and pantry, breakfast essentials, and dairy.

Wiltshire Farm Foods – Supplier of frozen ready meals. Although not taking on new customers at the moment, they will respond to enquiries from those identified as clinically ‘extremely vulnerable’.

Forever (the Aloe Vera company) – order via Rachael Wood‘s online shop for home delivery of aloe based health supplements and skincare products.
Henley Scan – A local business specialising in preserving old photos into memories to treasure. Their latest product launch is the ‘video book’ – the ideal gift for self-isolating family members, especially those not familiar with video calls or sharing digital images. It comprises a personalised A5 or A4 case enclosing a screen with a video that starts automatically on opening the cover. It is created from videos and photos recorded on your smart phone, plus a little information about your loved one for the front cover design (favourite colour, hobbies, interests). Knowl Hill Stores – Now offering telephone ordering and payment for local residents having to self-isolate or who are unable to get out to do their shopping. Please call on 01628 822579 if you need this service. The shop can also arrange home delivery if necessary through the Knowl Hill C19 Community Support Group. Opening times from 31 March: Wed and Sun 9am to 2pm, all other days 9am to 6pm.
