People, Planet, Pint events are local meetups for anyone who is curious, conscious or concerned about climate change and sustainability.
Wokingham's People, Planet, Pint community welcomes anyone who lives and/or works in the Wokingham borough. The group marked its 1st anniversary in November 2023.
The event on 7 December 2033 is a special one, coinciding with COP28 - the UN's Climate Meeting being held in Dubai. People, Planet, Print groups are meeting simultaneously all over the country for an alternative event dubbed COPPP28 (Congress of the People Planet Pints), offering those that may be tired of the relentless news cycle somewhere to come and feel heard, plus learn about local action they can get involved with.
People, Planet, Pint is for small business owners, local residents, local council/government workers, students, consultants, those looking to switch careers, or sustainability professionals.
There's no agenda, workshop or webinar - just chat over drinks (and, if you wish, delicious food from the Rose Inn’s menu). On entering the pub, you'll find the group in the parlour on the right hand side.
Wokingham People, Planet, Pint is co-hosted by two local mums, Elizabeth Corse and Anna Watson, who work hard to create a relaxed and welcoming space that brings together people who share an interest in sustainability in all its forms.
About People, Planet, Pint
People, Planet, Pint is the brainchild of Small99 founder, Adam Bastock. Small99 helps small businesses across the UK to improve their sustainability programmes and achieve net zero emissions while building a more resilient and profitable company at the same time.
People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas. After all, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink?
