The Waltham St Lawrence & Shurlock Row annual family day, Festival 24, will be held on Saturday 15 June at the cricket club.
The event raises funds for the local community: Waltham St Lawrence Primary School, WSL Church & Cricket Club. It aims to bring together the local villages of Waltham St Lawrence, Shurlock Row, Shottesbrooke and surroundings (White Waltham, Ruscombe, Twyford, Wargrave, Hurst, Charvil, etc).
This year's main event sponsor is Knight Frank.
There'll be lots of fun for all ages, with a range of family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon and entertainment into the evening. The dog show is always especially popular, and a particular highlight this year will be an incredible circus entertainment group called Storm In a Teacup.
The festival programme is as follows:
- From 2pm to 5.30pm: Children's Paris(h) Olympics, dog show, pony rides, traditional stalls, human fruit machine, tea tent and bar.
- From 5.30pm to 7.30pm: traditional stalls, food stalls, bar, entertainment from Solid Steel and Storm in a Teacup, circus entertainers.
- From 7.30pm to 10pm: Food stalls, bar, circus acts, live music from Majestix.
