The primary aims of the New Hurst Village Society are to:
- Protect the rural character of the village
- Be a focal point for village activities
- Support other Hurst organisations
- Promote village amenities and local skills.
The society is a membership organisation open to local residents. There is a small annual fee per household. The organisation is run entirely by volunteers.
