Hurst Bowling Club dates back at least to the middle of the 18th century, with a history inextricably linked to the adjacent Castle Inn and ancient church of St Nicholas opposite.

Club members consider themselves a family of bowlers, enjoying exercise, friendship, fellowship and social interaction. The game itself offers competition, concentration, discipline, teamwork and an inclusive attitude to everyone.

The season begins in April and ends in September. Newcomers are welcome to visit any Tuesday evening at 6pm to try the game. If you have just moved to the area, are looking for a club or would simply like the challenge of learning a new sport, don’t hesitate to visit. You can find more information on the website or call the number shown and leave a message: someone will respond shortly.

NB In order to preserve the green, your footwear must be completely flat soled. Bowls are available to use for practice.
