Age Concern Twyford & District serves older members of the community in Twyford, Hurst, Wargrave, Sonning, Ruscombe and Charvil.
Their small, friendly adult day centre in Twyford offers a warm welcome and a delicious three course lunch to those who are frail, lonely or isolated. The priority is the happiness and wellbeing of their members.
Events are held at the centre throughout the year, from musical performances and activities to learning events, film clubs and more. The charity also holds coffee mornings for carers and runs an outreach programme in the community.
The centre offers day care five days a week from 10 am to 3pm, with the option to attend for lunch only from 12 to 2pm. Lunch places must be booked in advance through the office: should the person then decide to stay on to join in with the activities, a small fee will be added to the cost of lunch.
