Repair Cafés are free community-centred workshops where people can bring things in need of repair in order to work together with volunteers to make good their broken or faulty items.

A Repair Café contributes to a sustainable, thriving community, where repair expertise is valued and passed on, where raw materials are used in a responsible way and where people can meet and get to know one another. We don't have to contribute to the huge amount of waste in our throw-away society! Far too many things get thrown away unnecessarily.

The Wokingham Repair Café is run by volunteers with a team of 'fixers'. Items are weighed to keep a tally on how much is saved from landfill, and at the end of each session, the team will calculate and report CO2 emission savings resulting from product repairs!
