Wokingham Bikeathon is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers and supported by local businesses, charities and organisations. Run by a small committee, the event first ran in 2008 with just 143 riders and has gone from strength to strength attracting entry numbers nearing a thousand over recent years.
Every year, we are delighted to have the support of the My Journey Wokingham Team but, since 2016, we have also been lucky enough to have local business, Leightons Opticians support us as our Main Sponsor!
The Bikeathon offers a choice of four routes, so is suitable for all levels: 17 miles, 25 miles, 36 miles or 50 miles!
For the little ones, Kidical Mass will also be leading family rides on routes of 1 mile (balance bikes), 2.5 miles and 4 miles.
All routes start and finish in the car park at Cantley Park, accessed from the A321 Twyford Road. Note that this means there is no parking available on site: please use the town car parks, which are clearly signed around Wokingham.
New for 2026: the My Journey Wokingham team will be hosting their first Wokingham Cycle Festival as part of the wide range of the attractions on the event field.
There'll be displays by the Fusion Extreme BMX stunt team, a range of interactive activities and information about sustainable travel in Wokingham Borough.
The Bikeathon runs until 2pm, with half-hourly stunt displays from 10am.
