Wokingham Bikeathon is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers and supported by local businesses, charities and organisations. Run by a small Committee headed up by Stan Hetherington, the event first ran in 2008 with just 143 riders and has gone from strength to strength, attracting entry numbers nearing a thousand over recent years.
Every year, we are delighted to have the support of the My Journey Wokingham Team but, since 2016, we have also been lucky enough to have local business, Rodger Duckworth Physiotherapy support us as our Main Sponsor!
From 2023 the Bikeathon now has a choice of FOUR routes so is suitable for all levels. As in the past, enjoy a 15 mile, 25 mile or 35 mile ride along country roads, or take up the challenge of the new 50-mile route!
For the little ones, there's also the Kidical Mass family ride over a two mile route, starting at 10am, a children’s bike obstacle course and other attractions.
All routes start and finish in the car park at Cantley Park, accessed from the A321 Twyford Road. Note that this means there is no parking available on site: please use the town car parks, which are clearly signed around Wokingham.
