Twyford Tree Festival

During 2020 local residents and businesses crowdfunded the first Twyford Big Tree Planting Project, which was held last December at Stanlake Meadow. Most of the new trees have been bedding in well and the surrounding area was sown with wildflowers. Over the past year the park has seen a noticeable increase in pollinators and other wildlife.

During National Tree Week 2021 the Twyford community is holding a Tree Festival, planting another 25 trees at Stanlake Meadow in an event which will also include stalls run by local craftspeople, guest speakers and workshops open to the public.
