Twyford & Ruscombe Horticultural Association AGM

Twyford & Ruscombe Horticultural Association are looking forward to welcoming everybody to the AGM on 28 January at Loddon Hall.

Complimentary drinks (glass of wine / soft drink) will be available on arrival. The minutes of last year’s AGM and the current constitution of TRHA can be found at https://trha.org.uk/html/about.php.

This year the formalities will be followed by a presentation from Tony Lack from the Wokingham & District Beekeeping Association. Tony will be bringing along some mead for tasting, candle-making equipment for anyone who fancies having a go at rolling a wax candle, and even a bee-free hive to explore. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to buy some delicious local Wokingham honey (£8.00 for a 1lb jar).

TRHA was founded in 1956 as a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers. The association is affiliated with the Royal Horticultural Society. Its main objective is to promote gardening and allotment cultivation to members of all ages in the local community. This is achieved through various activities, including issuing a monthly newsletter, organising three shows a year and selling garden supplies at the TRHA Store in Loddon Hall Road, open on Sunday mornings between February and November.

TRHA runs three shows a year in spring, summer and autumn at Loddon Hall in Twyford. As well as the vegetable and flower growing categories they usually include some domestic, art and photography sections.

Any suggestions for the shows or general running of the association is always welcome. TRHA could not function without its dedicated volunteers and member support.

You can apply for membership at the Store in Loddon Hall Road any Sunday moning during the open season (February to November), or you can email Jenny Wager at trhamembership@gmail.com.

Visit the website at www.trha.org.uk for details of all activities.
