💙 WORLD CANCER DAY - COMMUNITY WORKOUT💙

On World Cancer Day, Wednesday, 4 February 2026, The Shredquarters gym in Twyford is bringing the community together for a special workout to raise money for their chosen local cancer charity, My Cancer My Choices.

This event is open to everyone - not just Shredquarters members, but also friends, family, and the wider community. Wear blue and/or orange in recognition of World Cancer Day!

🏋️‍♂️ THE WORKOUT

The team has put together a 45-minute social workout designed to be inclusive, supportive, and scalable. You can take part as a pair or solo.

For full details about the fundraising challenge and the workout format and stations, visit the JustGiving page.

You’ll move through all the stations once: The goal is steady effort, teamwork, and keeping moving - not racing.

All movements and loads can be scaled to suit any ability, including beginners and those returning to training.

There are 36 spaces available in each 45 minute session time: 6am, 7am, 8am, 9am, 5.30 pm and 6.30pm. Just book via the web form and donate via the Just Giving page (links above).

👉 Please arrive 5 minutes before your session for briefing and setup.

🎗️ FUNDRAISING

All proceeds go directly to My Cancer My Choices, a Charvil-based charity that offers complementary therapies to people receiving cancer treatment across Berkshire. Every contribution makes a difference: if you are unable to take part in the community workout, please consider making a donation.

One in two people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. Cancer affects the body, mind and spirit and MCMC passionately believes that everyone with cancer should have access, from diagnosis, to complementary therapies. MCMC recruits specialist therapists willing to volunteer their time and expertise to offer holistic treatments such as acupuncture and massage, or group courses in mindfulness and yoga. These aim to relieve the side effects of cancer treatment and can make the cancer journey easier by encouraging relaxation and reducing stress.
