‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin’ is not your average pantomime - unusual in that it is set in a specific place on a particular date . The action is based on the legend that on 26 June, 1284, in the German town of Hamelin, a magic piper led all the children out of the town, after he was not paid for solving its rat problem.

Twyford Drama are looking forward to staging a production involving some villainous rats, a beautiful heroine, the usual scatty Dame and her even scattier son, Matty Muddle. Between them they have plenty of fun and excitement, singing, dancing and hurling custard pies, pursuing the usual pantomime antics that we all love. Add in some beautiful flute music and enchanting group dancing: the result will be a special show to lift your spirits early in the new year.

Twyford Drama have now presented over sixty pantomimes at Loddon Hall in Twyford and have established a wide reputation for their inspiring and imaginative productions that are fun for all of the family. A cut above your typical village pantomime, but without the commercialism and high prices that spoil so many professional shows.

Tickets are on sale from the start of November 2022, with evening performances on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 January plus matinee shows on the Saturday and Sunday 15 January.
