Reading Cigarette Card and Postcard Club
Second Thursday and fourth Tuesday of the month
7.30pm - 10pm
The Reading Cigarette Card and Postcard Club has been established for over 60 years and welcomes both collectors and dealers. There is a membership of around 70, with a regular attendance at meetings of some 35 members, both male and female, in a friendly, relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Annual subscription rates are very attractive and excellent value for enjoying the interesting and friendly company of fellow collectors.
The evenings are varied, with illustrated talks by both guest speakers and club members, other short talks and displays by members, guest dealer evenings, and quarterly auctions for members. Postcards and cigarette cards from the public are regularly included in Club auctions. Any members of the public who would like to inquire about selling their unwanted cigarette cards or pre-1950 postcards in any of the Club’s Quarterly Auctions should ring 0118 969 5155.
Each meeting provides members with opportunities to buy and sell cards.
Meetings are held at Charvil Village Hall, on the second Thursday evening and the fourth Tuesday evening of each month (excluding August and December, when only the first meeting is held).
Visitors are always welcome to see what the club is all about and meet the members.
