The Henley Arts Trail returns for its 17th year, reverting to its traditional dates over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
HAT showcases the vibrant visual arts and crafts scene centred in and around the beautiful town of Henley-on-Thames, extending to surrounding villages in Oxfordshire and Berkshire. The artists and makers look forward to opening their studios or shared venues to exhibit and sell their work to visitors over the three days.
From skilled amateurs to award-winning professionals, the trail covers the full gamut of arts and crafts: painting, print making, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and jewellery.
All venues are free to enter (except non-members of the National Trust will need to pay to enter Greys Court for the Oxford Sculptors Group show). There is no obligation to buy: visitors are welcome to use the event to talk to artists about their work, learn something about the process of creating, and to discover new locations around the area.
Some venues offer refreshments; some have demonstrations or offer workshops to those who fancy having a go themselves. All provide a stimulating and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
