Celebrate 50 years of South Hill Park at the Golden Festival of Food and Music
The Festival of Food and Music returns this summer on Sun 7 and Mon 8 May – and this year it will also be a celebration of South Hill Park’s 50th anniversary. There will be a variety of live music, fresh food and exciting family activities for all to enjoy.
Join in South Hill Park's 50th anniversary celebrations with a fabulous line-up of tribute acts and other live music from the past five decades, performing on two stages.
The music on Sun 7 May includes a Tribute to Madness from fabulous seven-piece band Skamungas, a Tribute to Little Mix performed by Lil Mix, a Tribute to Beyonce performed by Lauren G – who has travelled the UK and Worldwide for many years performing as Beyonce – and a Tribute to Elvis (The King) by Bracknell’s very own TC.
On Mon 8 May look forward to Atomic Rapture – a six-piece band from Wokingham who perform the Music of Blondie – and The Filthy Llamas, who play a unique blend of fast moving, raucous classic pop-rock. This is followed by Man Made Soul, a seven-piece band who play soul and Motown from the 60s and 70s, and finally The Small Strings take a selection of classic singalong rock and pop tunes and give them a unique ukulele twist.
This year visitors can book a free tour of South Hill Park Arts Centre and explore behind the scenes of the mansion and theatre. Each tour lasts approximately 60 - 80 mins where you will be able to visit different rooms and venue spaces whilst learning about the history of the Arts Centre and some exciting upcoming performances. Tours hold a maximum of 10 people.
It’s free entry to this unmissable event for all ages, though optional donations are welcome.
Please note that stallholders will charge for food, drinks or activities. Parking is also free, but spaces are limited.
