An art-based activity to support mental wellbeing
‘Chalk About It’ is an art-based activity held in Market Place by Wokingham Town Council, aiming to create a platform for residents to express their feelings in a relaxed, open air environment, where they are supported and not judged. Where attendees are free to talk about mental health struggles and have the opportunity to engage with professional support and advice should they wish to.
There are opportunities to join in with the collaborative piece inspired by the mandala, create your own individual chalk thought cloud and the option to sit and paint on paper on easel with a 'plein air' activity. All ages welcome and encouraged, where possible, to join in. No creative skill required, just come put some colour onto the Market Place and feel and free to express your feelings.
Artists, health professionals and helpers will be present on the day to chat and work with anyone who’d like to interact.
