Relay For Life is a community‑driven fundraising event organised by your local Cancer Research UK Committee. Teams come together to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and raise money for life‑saving cancer research.
The event is 24 hours, symbolising the fact that cancer never sleeps. Participants in teams take turns walking around a track while enjoying music, activities, food, and moments of reflection. One of the most moving parts is the Candle of Hope ceremony at 10 pm, when decorated lanterns are lit to honour those affected by cancer. Lanterns can be decorated at the event.
Relay For Life isn’t just a fundraiser — it’s a celebration of hope, resilience, and the power of people coming together for a cause that touches every family in some way.
The event officially runs from midday Saturday to midday Sunday, preceded by a warm-up at 11.30am. Teams arrive from around 9 am.
This is a family event for all ages that has been running since 2009, previously in Ascot before moving to the Piggott in 2025. Participants enjoy 24 hours of music, games, fancy dress laps and more!
If this sounds good, create a team with friends, family, or collegues and sign up NOW to be a part of a memorable and magical weekend.
