Peter Dart, Music Director of the annual concert at St Mary's Wargrave, promises to bring you a truly memorable evening of music for all tastes on 15 November 2025.
This year's event welcomes back two rising stars from the Royal College of Music:
- Elif Cansever (violin), who captivated the audience last year
- Misha Kaploukhii (piano), performing Paganini’s La Campanella
Together they will perform the rousing final movement of Brahms’ Violin Sonata No. 3.
The Wargrave Community Choir, directed by David Knight, will lift spirits with Eric Whitacre’s Seal Lullaby, an Abba medley, and the ever-popular John Denver classic Take Me Home, Country Roads.
Adding youthful energy and charm, the enthusiastic singers of the Robert Piggott CofE Junior School, under the direction of Stephanie Daisley, will also be taking to the stage.
There will also be a number of familiar favourites:
- Kirsty Taylor-Stokes with more wonderful operatic music
- APOLLO•5, the superb vocal ensemble performing Parry’s My Soul, There Is a Country and a swinging “The Way You Look Tonight”, and more...
- The Darts, singing songs from much-loved musicals
- Paul Speed (trumpet), Laura Anstee (’cello) and Liz Drew (clarinet), all popular Annual Concert regulars
And making her debut at the Annual Concert:
- Kate Chislett, who will delight us with her flute.
With such a rich and varied programme, there truly is something for everyone.
