A Midsummer Night’s Dream brings mischief and magic to South Hill Park

South Hill Park Arts Centre invite you to join Scoot Theatre for an outdoor, socially distanced, cricket themed, family-friendly production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on the weekend of 5 and 6 September. Six actor-musicians present Shakespeare’s favourite comedy in just sixty minutes in a production suitable for all ages. Get ready for confusion, chaos and water fights!

Scoot Theatre aim to get people watching live theatre again in a safe and responsible way. Originally touring cricket grounds, they are now bringing the fun to Bracknell’s South Hill Park so the community can get together and enjoy the last of the summer. The show is directed by Joseph O’Malley (The 39 Steps, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Ben Hur – The Barn Theatre), and the cast includes Sally Cheng (Twelfth Night & A Christmas Carol – RSC), Max Hutchinson (The Woman in Black – West End & The Downtown Abbey Film), and Tricia Adele-Turner (Dear Evan Hansen, We Will Rock You, Legally Blonde – West End).

South Hill Park advises that face masks must be worn whilst in the amphitheatre where the performance is taking place, and to bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Please also wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather. In the event of extreme weather conditions the production may be re-located or cancelled, and ticket holders will be contacted. When booking multiple tickets, it will be assumed that everyone is from the same household or bubble and therefore will be sat together.

So whether you’re new to Shakespeare or a regular attendee, bring the whole family to South Hill Park and enjoy a fun packed hour of mischief and magic in the perfect outdoor setting.

South Hill Park Arts Centre is determined that the shows will go on, so please support live theatre. If you would like to donate to the South Hill Park fundraising campaign please visit www.southhillpark.org.uk/donate.
