Jewel Tones is a choir based in Charvil for girls aged 10-18 years. The choir was founded in 2012 by Musical Director Suzanne Newman, who has been running choirs and teaching music in the area since 1990.

Who is eligible?

Girls aged 10 to 18 who are available to attend rehearsals at Charvil Village Hall on Sunday evenings from 6.15pm to 7.45pm. Following an informal audition new applicants are invited to join for an initial trial period before paying the first term’s membership subscription (£60).

About Musical Director Suzanne Newman

After gaining a BA in Creative Arts and a PGCE in Music/Children with Special Educational Needs, she taught in schools for four years before becoming a self-employed teacher of piano and singing.

She enjoys teaching all sorts of music to pupils of all ages and abilities.

As well as teaching and running the choir, Suzanne runs singing workshops and courses at regular intervals.
